I feel their is a market that Quake can fill successfully, but we have to wait for Microsoft to reorganize Bethesda/Zenimax. Most of them would trash the game in a day and never look back. Imagine all those streamers from the RUST servers coming to Quake. Quake is absolutely brutal to new players. So, they have to actually practice to achieve victory where in PUBG, CSGO, valorant their shooting skills actually carry over well game to game.
Probably the biggest problem with Quake is there are no current fast paced games like them that the large majority of streamers play. Obviously known of those amounted to much in our community. I think Summit may have been another streamer they had for a sponsored stream. Some other people have mentioned shroud and lirik, but all of them got trashed apparently. The game has changed significantly since his last stream though. But he never continued to play it to my knowledge except for these sponsored occasions. I know for sure Bethesda has had Dr.disrespect play on 3 separate occasions possibly more, and he pulled close to 20,000 on twitch with that. There are a few devs that roam this reddit.
